Modern Disconnect

This framed acrylic on canvas piece is a modern interpretation of Salvador Dali's Mountain Lake. 

We as a society, are at war with our obsession with social media. Our world is overshadowed around us because we spend so much of our time looking at it through the camera on our phones. Using familiar icons this opinion is easily recognized as the clouds in the sky are not realistic and the bird flying also is unrealistic. The implications of a catfish is another use of symbolism.
